This notice covers the Dating Decoded website and online reader, published as Modern Dating Lab.

Information we use

When you sign in, we use your email address and account identifier to verify your identity and provide access to your book. For purchases, we store a payment reference, the account linked to it, purchase amount, currency, date, edition, accepted terms version and payment, refund or dispute status.

Stripe and Link process payments through Stripe Managed Payments. Link is the merchant of record at checkout and sends payment receipts and refund confirmations. Our website does not receive or store your full card number. Stripe may collect payment, billing, device and fraud-prevention information as described in Stripe’s privacy policy.

Why we use it

We use this information to complete your purchase, deliver the book, send sign-in codes and service messages, resolve access issues, process refunds, prevent misuse and meet accounting or legal obligations. Signing in or buying does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.

Cookies and reading preferences

Essential cookies keep you signed in. Your text size and last page are saved locally in your browser, so you can keep reading comfortably. These reading preferences are not sent to a separate analytics service. Clearing browser storage removes them. This release does not add advertising pixels or a marketing analytics service.

Service providers

We use Vercel for hosting, Supabase for account and purchase records, Stripe and Link for payments and transaction support, and an email delivery provider for sign-in and service emails. They process the information necessary to provide those services. Hosting and security services may also process technical logs such as IP addresses, request information and device details. Depending on service configuration, information may be processed outside your country.

Retention and your choices

Account and entitlement records are retained while needed to provide your book. Purchase records may be retained after an account closes where required for accounting, disputes or legal obligations. You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you. Deleting your account removes your sign-in access; records we must legally keep may remain.
